Richard "Rick" Sherfey Obituary

Richard Allen “Rick” Sherfey, 61, of Taneytown died Saturday, July 3, 2021 at home. Born February 14, 1960 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Dean Edward Sherfey and Julia “Judy” Sherfey Becker.

Before retiring, he worked for the Board of Education in Baltimore County for 28 years. He was a member of the Taneytown Lions Club and Westminster Moose Lodge #1381.

He is survived by his daughter Nicole Tyler and husband John of Taneytown; sister Deborah E. Wolfe of Westminster; brother Jeffrey S. Sherfey of Westminster; three grandchildren, Erica Hope Tyler, Josh Tyler and Khloe Lynn Taylor.

He is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.

Celebration of Life services will be announced at a later date.
