Rita Ann Lawson

Rita Ann Lawson, 87, of Westminster passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at BridgingLife Dove House. Born March 13, 1938 in Newark, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas Feenstra and Anneke Bakker Feenstra. She was the beloved wife of the late Theodore Lawson. Before retiring she was an elementary school teacher.

She received her teaching degree from Newark State. Rita enjoyed traveling, reading, walking and hiking.

She is survived by her children Heidi Berman and husband Edmund of Westminster and Mark Lawson and wife Carmen of Germany. Also survived by 6 grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 4:30 p.m. at Krug Chapel at Carroll Lutheran Village with Chaplain Matthew Fuhrman officiating.

A private interment will be held at Garrison Forest Cemetery.
