Rita Gail Livingston, 84, of Westminster passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at her home. Born on February 12, 1941 in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Edger Franklin Short and Fannie Kate Nail Short. She was the loving wife of Gary Dean Livingston.
Before retiring she was a social worker for the elderly. She loved gardening, flowers and playing dominoes. She was a member of the Church of the Open Door.
She is survived by her children Sheryl Taylor (Roger) and Duane Livingston (Wendy); sister Dot Berthule; grandchildren Richard Crum and Josh Tubbs, Nathan, Zackary and Sara Taylor and Ryan, Jason Livingston and Courtney Masemer; great-grand-children Natalie, Jonah, Sienna, Tanner and Wyatt Livingston; niece Kathy Halterman.
She was predeceased by her daughter Pamela Faye Tubbs Livingston and great-grandson Max Crum and brother-in-law Allen Berthule.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, March 17, 2025 at the Church of the Open Door, 550 Baltimore Blvd, Westminster, MD 21157.
Memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m.
