Robert Leroy Mann

Robert Leroy Mann, 80, lifelong resident of Finksburg, died Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Seasons Hospice at Sinai, peacefully with his family by his side.  Born April 10, 1937 in Finksburg, he was the son of the late Samuel Mann and Evelyn Bowman Mann. Survived by his wife of 59 years, Nancy Brown Mann.

Before retiring he worked at Black and Decker for 43 years.  He was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and Life Member of the Beaver Run Fish and Game Club in Finksburg and he was the caretaker and recording secretary of the Finksburg Cemetery Co.  He enjoyed hunting, being outdoors and butchering on the family farm.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three children, Samuel Mann and wife Judi of Finksburg; Chuck Mann of Valdese, NC and Cynthia Fisher of Westminster; brothers Samuel Mann and wife Joan of Westminster; 5 grandchildren Casey Mann and girlfriend Lisa Hubbard of Hampstead; Rachel Mann of Finksburg; Kelli Morgan and husband Morgan of Connelly Springs, NC; Jessica Deal and husband Nathan of Hickory, NC and Seth Mann of Connelly Springs, NC, 7 great-grandchildren Alex, Elizabeth, Isaiah, Addison, Chloe, Marcia and Levi.

He was predeceased by sisters Violet, Mryle and Josephine and brothers Russell, Boyd, Norman, Billy and Richard Mann.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9:00 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Louis Piel officiating.  Interment will follow in Finksburg Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 3006 Old Westminster Pike, Finksburg, MD 21048.
