Robert "Brett" Stahley Obituary

Robert "Brett" Stahley, 66, of Westminster, Maryland passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on February 27, 2025. Born in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on September 28, 1958, to the late Robert "Bob" Stahley and Louise Shamer Stahley.

Brett loved playing golf, listening to music, and playing Civil War games. He became a master at carpentry, cooking, and painting. He worked at Craft-Mart in Taneytown for 25 years as a millworker. His coworkers were like family to him. Many of us enjoyed his meals learned from his Bavarian Inn cooking days. He could masterfully cut in and paint any room. Brett prided himself in doing a first-class job in all his crafts. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan.

Brett is survived by his daughter, Jordan Turner Stahley (Ben), and his siblings, Steven Stahley (Becky), Karen Homme, Karla Stahley (Denise), and Kelly Janes. He is also survived by many friends, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Brett was preceded in death by his best friend, Vincent "Vinnie" Shipley.

The family will celebrate his life at the American Legion on Thursday, March 6, from 11 am to 3 pm at 2 Sycamore St N., Westminster, MD 21157.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Multiple Myeloma Foundation (myeloma.org) or the Gettysburg Foundation (gettysburgfoundation.org).
