Robert (Bob) Joseph Luers, 90, passed away peacefully at home on February 24, 2025. Born on September 28, 1934 in Sandymount. He was the son of the late August C. and Sadie M. Luers. Survived by his loving wife Catherine (Kitty) Luers of 66 years.

He graduated from St. John Catholic High School. He worked for Koontz Creamery, Black & Decker, and retired from the Carroll County Roads and Parts department.

He liked to play golf, shoot pool, play cards, bowl, read and taking care of his animals, especially his cats.

Besides his wife he is survived by daughters; Linda Long (Dave) of Manchester, Patricia Booze of Pinehurst, NC, three grandchildren; Brian Long (Megan), Jason Booze, and Robert Booze (Taylor) two great-grandchildren; Wyatt Mae Long and Logan Booze. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister and three brothers.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 1-4 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 East Main Street, Westminster, MD 21157. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Rick Holbrook officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg, MD. with military honors.
