Robert W. “Bob” Roys, 94, of Finksburg, died Sunday, February 1, 2026, at BridgingLife Dove House.  Born July 31, 1931 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Marie (Frederick) Roys and William V. Roys.  He was the beloved husband of 60 years to the late Evelyn L. Wagner Roys. 

Bob was a CPA and was employed with Ernst & Ernst, L. Greif and Bro., and Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Maryland.  He retired after 26 years with Blue Cross.  While at Blue Cross he was Director of Provider Reimbursement and Contracting.  He served on the State of Maryland Kidney Disease Commission, participated in the formulation of the Maryland Health Services Cost Review Commission and was a life member of the Health Care Financial Management Association. 

He served in the Maryland National Guard for 9 years and was an avid golfer.  Bob was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church in Westminster.

He is survived by sons Steven R. Roys and wife Anna of Finksburg and Douglas W. Roys and wife Lisa of Lutherville, grandchildren Robert, David, Timothy and Kirsten, great-grandchildren Silas, Arya and Angelina.

He was predeceased by a brother Victor F. Roys.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 21 Carroll St., Westminster.  Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m.  Interment will be held at Lakeview Memorial Park in Sykesville. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church.
