In Loving Memory of Ronald Sydney Schinault

June 19, 1955 - May 18, 2023

Ronald Sydney Schinault, known to his loved ones as Ronnie, passed away on May 18, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Born on June 19, 1955, in Baltimore, MD, Ronnie's life was filled with passion, dedication, and a remarkable zest for life.

Ronnie attended Woodlawn High School, where he graduated with the class of 1973. Following his education, he dedicated himself to serving his community as a Volunteer Firefighter with Woodlawn Fire Department 330. Ronnie's commitment to helping others and ensuring their safety was a testament to his selflessness.

Professionally, Ronnie flourished as an architect and facilities engineer. His keen eye for design and meticulous attention to detail were evident in his work, leaving a lasting impact on the structures he helped create.

Ronnie's true essence transcended his professional achievements. He was a force of nature, possessing a gregarious and larger-than-life personality that captivated everyone he encountered. Ronnie had a powerful sense of humor, and his infectious laughter could brighten even the darkest of days. He had a unique ability to connect with people, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Above all, Ronnie was a devoted husband and father. He cherished his role as a family man and made countless sacrifices to ensure his loved ones' happiness. Whether he was coaching youth sports, attending his children's games, embarking on numerous trips to Williamsburg, VA, or exploring craft and country stores across Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, Ronnie was always there for his family. A master of the hot glue gun, he possessed a talent for crafting that could rival MacGyver himself. Ronnie's love for classic cars was unrivaled, and his 1966 Plymouth Belvedere was a true source of pride. He adored the beach, and Ocean City held a special place in his heart. As a grill master, he delighted in bringing friends and family together over delicious meals.

Ronnie is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Debbie Schinault, his two sons Shawn and Jonathan Schinault, his nephew Joseph and his wife Kim, niece Linda, daughter-in-law Timley and his cherished grandson William. Although he may have playfully teased, his love for his family knew no bounds.

Ronald Sydney Schinault brought joy, laughter, and an unwavering love to all those whose lives he touched. His spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May he rest in peace, knowing that his legacy of love will endure for generations to come.

A memorial service to honor Ronnie's life will be held later this summer. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating financial assistance to help cover the costs of the cremation, memorial service and his recent medical expenses. A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to help collect donations.
