Ronald E. Sharer, 74, of Fairfield, PA, died Sunday, January 19, 2025 at BridgingLife Dove House.  Born September 26, 1950 in Alexandria, VA, he was the son of the late Edith (Cooke) Sharer and Roland Sharer.  He was the husband of the late Margaret Louise “Margie” Sharer.

He held many jobs including a custodian for Carroll County Public Schools and dishwasher for Baugher’s.  He was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard.  Ron was an Orioles fan and enjoyed watching WWE and playing the guitar.

He is survived by daughter Christina Lynn Stull (Randy) of Fairfield, PA; a son Ronald E. “Jay” Sharer, Jr. (Amy) of Kentucky; granddaughters Savannah Stull and Jaylyn Yingling and her mother Bonnie; a brother Rick Sharer (Darlene), sisters Margaret Shelton and Estelle King.

He was predeceased by siblings Richard Sharer, Sr., Walter Sharer and Virginia Hollabaugh. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.  Funeral services will begin at 12 noon.  Interment will follow at Meadow Branch Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to BridgingLife and mailed to BridgingLife Development Office, 200 Memorial Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157.
