Ronald “Ron” Gene Wyland, 74, of Westminster, died Wednesday April 7, 2021 at Carroll Hospital Center. Born December 26, 1946 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the middle child of the late Samuel Wesley Wyland and Elizabeth Virginia Wain Wyland. Before retiring, he was the Director of Operations at Mar-Chek Inc, and spent most of his working life contributing to the restaurant industry. Ron was known for loving good jokes and making others laugh with his distinct dry humor. He also loved cars, driving, and football, and was a lifelong Steelers fan. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Carolyn A. Wyland, his two children, Ronald Gene Wyland Jr. of Mesa Arizona and Melanie Beth Poff (husband Bryan) of Westminster, Maryland; one brother, Roy W, Wyland (wife Janet) of Langhorne PA; one sister, Rachelle De Horatius (husband Mark) of Doylestown PA; and three grandchildren Mitchell Bryan Poff, Carley Beth Poff and Melissa Joy-Ann Wyland. Funeral services and internment will be private. In tribute to Ron, Enjoy a pizza from your favorite restaurant as he did regularly.
