Ruth Esther Warfield, 85, of Westminster, died Friday, December 6, 2024, at BridingLife Dove House.  Born October 26, 1939 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Alice (Nicholson) Keller and George Keller.  She was the beloved wife of James L. Warfield, her husband of 66 years.

Before retiring she worked as an assistant teacher for Carroll County Public Schools.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Lutheran Church. Ruth enjoyed ceramics, shopping, eating out, animals and spending time with family.

Besides her husband, she is survived by children Sharon Grimes, Sandra Warfield and Patricia Dlugos William, 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by 2 brothers and 1 sister.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.  Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m.  Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Silver Run.
