Sandra Jean Miller

Sandra Jean Miller, 70, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at the Dove House. She was surrounded by loving family and friends as she took her journey home.  Born April 25, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Roy Howard Mann and Betty Mae Dell Mann.  She was the wife of the late Robert F. Miller who died January 5, 2019.

Sandy was a 1968 graduate of Westminster Senior High School.  She went to work shortly after at Random House Publishers, where she retired in 2003 after 34 years of service.  After her retirement from Random House Publishers, she was an Administrative Assistant for the Adult Education Program where she played a big part encouraging students in receiving their diplomas.  After several years with Adult Education and surviving a cancer episode, she went to work as an Administrative Assistant for BH Health Service, another place where she helped make a difference in so many lives.  Sandy enjoyed bowling, volleyball, family picnics and reunions.  She also volunteered many years at the Farm Museum.  She was a care giver to all and always had an upbeat and positive attitude on life.

Surviving are devoted and loving Godchildren Rachel L. Walter, Whitney R. Dell, Jenna M. Goins and Karleigh M. Edwards.  Also surviving are Aunts Irene R. Dell, Shirley M. Dell, Fay R. Kline and Uncle Joseph M. Mann and many cousins.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 19, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Charles Barnhart officiating.  Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.

Memorial contributions may be made in Sandy’s name to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157 or to a charity of your choice.
