Sharon Lee Farver Layman Obituary
Sharon Lee Farver Layman, 66, Union Bridge, Maryland, was born on May 25, 1957. On April 4, Sharon joined the love of her life, Ron Layman, in heaven, just 11 months and 4 days after him. They were married just shy of 25 years.
Sharon was the daughter of Maurice Farver, Sr. and Patsy Harris. As well as her parents, Sharon is survived by her children Everett, Tonya (Danny), and Melissa, and grandchildren Abbey, Chloe, and Noah. Sharon was also a mother to Ron's daughters, Sarah and Katey, as well as Nana to his grandchildren, Damian and Lillian.
Sharon was predeceased by Benedict, her infant son, Sam Fralin, her first husband, Charles "Pop" Harris, her beloved stepfather, and Lillian Layman, her mother-in-law. Sharon will also join her yorkie, Nora , and Ron's beagle, Ripple, on the other side of the rainbow bridge.
Sharon will be missed by many, especially her brothers, John Harris and Maurice 'Mo' Farver and his sons. She shared a special relationship with her in-laws Richard Layman, Rick, Lori And Todd.
Sharon was a lifelong resident of Carroll County. She loved their little blue house in the country, the pond by her home and the beautiful sunset view.
Sharon was a 1975 graduate of Westminster High School, where she excelled at art, and was offered a scholarship. But plans changed, and Sharon opted to become a wife and mother. A natural born caregiver, she studied and became a Licensed Practical Nurse(LPN) while raising her three children. She began her nursing career at Carroll County Hospital as a critical care nurse. She later took her nursing skills into private practice at Airpark Medical working with doctor Philip Ruzbarski and his wife Sunny, where she worked until her retirement. In between nursing, Sharon also loved to cook, enjoyed time with her grandchildren, and provide a care and comfort to many family and friends. Ron often remarked that she was his angel on earth. Ron and Sharon enjoyed a simple life; going fishing, being outdoors, and attending many concerts together. They are now together forever sitting by that big fishing pond in the sky, enjoying the sunset while listening to the concert given by all the musicians in heaven.
The family would like to thank those who cared for Sharon during her brief illness: Dove House and Carroll County Hospice, neighbors Ed and Susan and Kerim and family; friends Brenda and Ryan, Neal, Paul, Gene and Sharon, Scotty, Lisa, Mark, and Nikki. The family would also like to express appreciation for those who prayed, fed, and supported them.
Sharon requested a private celebration of life cook out be held at a later date to share memories, home cooking, and good music.
