Sharon Bernice Parks

Sharon Bernice Parks, 73, of Westminster, died Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Carroll Hospital Center.  Born July 14, 1949 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Francis Howlen Stitely and Joyce Ann Leppo Stitely.  She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Earl Roger Parks.

Before retiring she was an office manager for a dental practice. She graduated from Westminster High School in 1967 and enjoyed gardening, cooking and sharing recipes.  Mostly, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her twin grandsons. 

Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Judy Parks Samuels and Isaac of Westminster; her three siblings, Frank Stitely and wife Barbara of Round Rock, Texas; Carol Thompson and husband Tom of Westminster; Kathy Schmidt and husband, Matt of Hampstead, NC; and twin grandsons Reed and Greyson Samuels. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.  A Time of Remembrance Service will begin at 7:30 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to The Humane Society of Carroll County, 2517 Littlestown Pike, Westminster, MD 21158.
