Sharon Ann (Hartman) Thompson

Sharon Ann (Hartman) Thompson, 71, of Garland, NC, formerly of Hampstead, MD, died Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at BridgingLife Dove House.  Born December 24, 1951 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Edna (Delawder) Hartman Loughry.  She was the beloved wife of the late Glenn R. “Bo” Thompson who died October 1, 2022. 

Sharon lived her adult life in North Carolina over 50 years with her husband and sons.  She worked many jobs, but her favorite was wife and mother.  When she was able, she enjoyed gardening and more recently watching old TV shows.  Sharon enjoyed riding in the truck with her husband who was a long-distance trucker.  They once drove across the country enjoying the sights with their younger son.  Sharon attended North Carroll High School.

She is survived by siblings Ronald Hartman, Sandra Green (Gary), June Bitzel (Tim), and Glenda Woerner (Doug), sisters-in-law Judy Loughry, Connie Henry and Mary West, brother-in-law William Thompson, 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by sons Glenn R. “Bobby” Thompson, II, John Paul Adam Thompson, 3 infant babies, siblings Bertha Mathers, William Hartman Jr., Mason Hartman, Eugene Hartman and Louis Loughry, Jr.

 A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
