Sherie Marie Buffington, 68, of Taneytown, MD, died on April 29, 2025 at Bella Community General Hospital in Harrisburg, PA. Born June 16, 1956 in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Betty Elizabeth Goodwin Feister and Nolen Kenneth Feister.

She graduated from Franics Scott Key High School in 1974 and held the county record for discus and shot put. She worked for the Brethren Center for 4 years and Zoysia Farms Nursey in Taneytown for 48 years. She loved her pets and enjoyed camping, fishing, playing solitaire, being outside in nature and going on adventures.

She is survived by her brother Larry Feister and wife Joan of Taneytown and sister Connie Parke of Taneytown. Nieces and nephews Jimmy Feister, Christy Eckard, Justin Parke, Logan Parke, Nick Parke and Chuck Mahanna, Jr. As well as her partner of 30 years, Jean Barrett; step-sons James Bowlin, Jr., David C. Barrett and Eric Barrett and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her brothers Harry and Barry Feister.

As per Sherie’s wishes, there will be a private viewing with no public service.

A Celebration of Life Service will be shared at a later date.
