Shirley M. Stansbury

Shirley M. Stansbury, 80, formerly of Westminster, MD, died Monday, May 10, 2021, at Homewood at Plum Creek in Hanover, PA.  Born April 21, 1941 in Uniontown, MD, she was a daughter of the late C. Levine Zepp and Mary Devilbiss Zepp.

Before retiring, she worked for the Carroll County Board of Education as an Instructional Assistant.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Lutheran Church in Silver Run.  She enjoyed family picnics, as well as taking trips on the Skyline Drive and through Western Maryland.

Her husband of 60 years, Donald R. Stansbury, died July 29, 2020. She is survived by son, Jeffrey S. Stansbury of Dillsburg, PA, and daughter, Teresa L. Rippeon of Westminster, MD, six grandchildren, Janae Bender, Jeremy Stansbury, Jason Stansbury, Ryan Rippeon, Elena Rippeon, Patrick Rippeon, one great grandson, William Bender, brothers C. Levine Zepp, Jr. of Hanover, PA, and Charles Zepp of Atlanta, GA, and sister Charlotte Zepp of Westminster.

At Shirley’s request, there will be no public viewing or funeral service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to St. Mary’s Lutheran Church, 3978 Littlestown Pike, Westminster, MD  21158.
