Sidney May Muller

Sidney May Muller, 78, of Westminster, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 3, 2021, at the Dove House in Westminster surrounded by her children.  David W. Muller, her loving husband of 55 years, died Oct. 22, 2017.

Born April 24, 1943 in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Ferris and Helen N. Warner Ferris.   

She served as the bookkeeper for the family business Muller Construction Co., Inc.  She was a member of New Hope UMC in New Windsor and a former member of St. James UCC in Littlestown, PA.  In both congregations, she served in many areas of leadership including teaching Sunday School to the nursery & pre-school age children, was a member of the Worship Committee and assisted in choosing hymns and decorating the church, sang in the Choir at both churches, was a member of The Ladies Aid Society at St. James and was known for her gravy making skills for St. James public suppers.

She enjoyed cooking especially making Thanksgiving Dinners, reading, watching the birds that fed from the feeders in her back yard and spending time with her family.  She graduated from Littlestown High School in 1961.

She is survived by three children, Sandra L. Miller and husband David, Douglas E. Muller, and Carolyn I. Hoff and husband Michael, all of Westminster; a brother Ed Ferris and wife Jean of Littlestown, PA; a sister Linda Eby and husband Rick of New Oxford, PA and sister-in-law Barbara Muller of Orange, VA; loving nieces and nephews; and grand-dog Benny.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dahl Drenning officiating.  Interment will follow at Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery near Winfield.
