Thomas George Sponseller was born on December 31, 1953, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Ruth Snyder and Charles Sponseller. Full of energy, life, and love, Tommy touched the hearts of everyone who had the joy of knowing him. His infectious laugh, spirit, and enthusiasm for life made a lasting impact on all who crossed his path.

Tommy had a deep love for all things Christmas, especially Santa, and his joy during the holiday season was unmatched. He also delighted in sporting events, marching bands, cheeseburgers, and the many simple pleasures of life.

For more than 30 years, Tommy was a cherished member of the Target Community & Educational Services, Inc. family. The countless support staff, caregivers, and friends who walked alongside him throughout his life became his extended family, sharing in his laughter, adventures, and unwavering love.

Tommy leaves behind his dear housemates, Sally and Bill, his beloved friend Jon, and many staff members who loved and cared for him over the years. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him and within the Target Community.

A service to celebrate Tommy’s life will be held at Fletcher's Funeral Home in Westminster, Maryland.
