Vernon Leroy Niner, 57, of Taneytown, Maryland, was called home to be with the Lord on May 29, 2025. Born on August 9, 1967 in Baltimore, Maryland he is the son of Linda Lee Hood Niner and the late Hugh Vernon Niner. He is survived by his best friend and loving wife Dawn Marie Niner.

Before retiring he was a grocery clerk at Safeway. He enjoyed shooting pool, gardening, cooking, traveling, watching football and going to the racetrack. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Besides his mom and wife, he is survived by his mother-in-law and father-in-law Mary and William Walkling, Sr., sister-in-law Donna Boardman and her husband Michael, brother-in-law William Walkling, Jr., nephews Steven and Daniel Boardman. He also leaves behind extended family.

Per Vernon’s wishes there will be no services.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
