Vincent DiLorenzo Obituary

Vincent John DiLorenzo, of Westminster, Md, died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on March 20, 2021. He was the son of the late Rose (D’Angelo) and Ernest DiLorenzo.

He graduated from Bergenfield High School in Bergenfield, NJ and was inducted into their Athletic Hall of Fame. He went on to play baseball and basketball at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC.

He achieved his dream of playing professional baseball by being a member of the New York Giants and Milwaukee Braves.

Vince had a long and successful career in the truck leasing industry and animal research field.

His hobbies included coin collecting, stamp collecting, golf, playing rummikub, and completing sudoku puzzles.

Vince is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Patricia Ann DiLorenzo (nee Pawlicki). They were wed in holy matrimony on September 19, 1953 in Jacksonville, FL.

Big Vince is survived by his 6 devoted children, Vincent DiLorenzo and wife Kathy of Calhoun, GA; Christopher DiLorenzo and wife Ashley of Duluth, GA; Victoria Ryan and husband Derek of Dallas, TX; Paul DiLorenzo and wife Marni of Hampstead, MD; Anthony DiLorenzo of Taneytown, MD; and Gina Feustle and husband Keith) of Reisterstown, MD.

“Pop” is survived by 13 grandchildren; Syd DiLorenzo and wife Megan; Taylor Ryan and wife Katherine; Kelsey Ord and husband Cade; Allie Gilliland and husband Adam; Shelby DiLorenzo; Jake Ryan; Connor Feustle; Diana DiLorenzo; Michael DiLorenzo; Morgan Feustle; Kassidy DiLorenzo; Tyler DiLorenzo; Isabella DiLorenzo.  2 great grandchildren; Mary Clare Gilliland and Henry Gilliland.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 12 noon at St. John Roman Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster, MD 21157.
