Walter Reaver, 85, of Westminster, MD, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. Born on August 16, 1940, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Walter Reaver and Pauline Forney.
Walter was an avid fisherman and hunter who enjoyed watching old western films. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family. Before retiring, he worked as a custodian for Carroll County Public Schools (CCPS).
He is survived by his loving wife, Beryl Mason; daughter, Margy Barnes, and son-in-law, Denny; grandchildren, Alan Miller (and partner Violet), Rebecca Carey (and husband Chad), Carrie Spring (and husband Joe), Steve “Jake” Reaver, and Andrew Amend; and four great-grandchildren: Dillon, Olivia, Addison, and Leah.
He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Reaver.
A private memorial service for family members will be held at a later date.
