Wayne Jackson Hill, 74, of New Windsor, died Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Mason Dixon Dragway in Boonsboro, MD. Born October 15, 1949 in New Windsor, he was the son of the late Thomas Key and Lovie V. (Hill) Key. He was the beloved husband of the late Debbie Lee (Stouffer) Hill who died November 4, 2023.
He worked as a mason and owned his own business Brass Masonry. Recently, Wayne worked part time as a custodian at West Middle School. He enjoyed race car driving events, NASCAR, his 69’ Camaro, gardening, fishing with his grandchildren, watching westerns and playing softball in his younger years.
He is survived by a son Wayne Jackson Hill, II and husband Benjamin Shipley, grandchildren Lavender, Marley and Price Hill, a sister Jackie Costley (Filmore), brothers Raymond “Pete” Hill and Tommy Key. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers David J. Key and Ricky Hill Key.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 14, 2024 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 15, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Darrell Davis officiating. Interment will be private.
