William H Brown

William H. Brown, 92, of New Oxford, PA, died Sunday, October 29, 2023, at UMPC Hanover Hospital.  Born June 9, 1931in Westminster, MD, he was the son of the late Myretta (Bowers) Brown and Raymond H. Brown.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 74 years, Helene P. Brown.

Before retiring, he held numerous positions with the Department of the Army.

He is survived by children Myretta Shelton (Bruce) of Tennessee; Lillian M. Rebert of Westminster, MD; Jim Brown (Pat) of Wyoming and Darrin Brown (Michelle) of Littlestown, PA; a brother Herbert Brown, 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by son-in-law Jerry Rebert, brothers Bob Brown, Raymond H. Brown and sister Doris (Brown) Wilson.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 3, 2023 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.  Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m.  Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Silver Run.
