William H. Stonesifer

William H. Stonesifer, 92, of Westminster, died on Friday, May 12, 2023 at Lorien in Taneytown. Born at home in Frizzellburg, Maryland, on May 26, 1930, to the late Walter and Cleva Taylor Stonesifer. He was the beloved husband of the late Audrey Fogle Stonesifer.

Before retiring, he worked for Westminster Bank & Trust. He was a 1947 graduate of Taneytown High School and a U.S. Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Alaska.  He was a previous member of Grace Lutheran Church and later attended Church of the Open Door.

He is survived by his daughters Doreen Capece  of Westminster and Denise Stonesifer of Reisterstown and his son William H. Stonesifer, Jr. of Westminster; two grandchildren Cara Capece and Daniel Capece.

He was predeceased by his brother Clarence “Tommy” Phillips of Taneytown.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main Street, Westminster.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Matthew Pensinger officiating. Interment will follow at Meadow Branch Cemetery in Westminster.
