Tim and Susan, please accept my sincere condolences in the loss of Tim's father. It sounds as though he was a wonderful man, who served others, his family, his community, and his country well. May the Lord comfort you and encourage you by many prayers, happy memories, and the promises in God's Word.

We were sorry to learn of Dave's death. We were privileged to have had Dave and Gini as good friends and to have shared many special times with them while living at Smith Mtn. Lake. They lived long and good lives together. We will always remember and treasure our times together.

Banta Family,

My mother (Rita Driscoll) passed on the news of your father. I always remember your dad at the Virginia house. We visited for several days along with my mom and had the best time. A picture of our son, Bruce fishing with your dad hangs in a frame at our house. I still make your mother's carrot bars, they are always a hit wherever I take them. A flood of memories come back on the times our families spent together. Take care and all of you are in our thoughts and prayers.

We are so sorry to hear of Dave's recent passing. We have many fond memories of our friendship with Dave and Ginny at Smith Mountain Lake since our moving in across the cove from them back in 1990. It was great meeting their kids and grandkids over the years during their visits, and we really missed Dave and Ginny when they finally sold their lakehouse and moved up to Maryland. I took over Dave's role as Treasurer on the Smugglers Neck Homeowners Association, and we were just recently reminiscing about Dave at our annual POA meeting last month. We extend our deepest sympathies to the whole family, and we were certainly privileged to have Dave and Ginny as friends and neighbors. They were great people and great examples of lives well lived.
