Thomas Francis Fahey, 93, of Westminster, MD, formerly of Selbyville, DE and Gaithersburg, MD, died Friday, August 18, 2017, at the Dove House surrounded by his loving family. Born November 28, 1923 in Liverpool, England, he was the son of the late Helen Fahy and Thomas J. Fahey. He was the loving husband of 61 years to the late Louise R. Fahey.
Before retiring he worked 35 years as an agent for The Acacia Group in Washington D.C. He was a lifelong member of the Roman Catholic Church where he was a Eucharistic Minister and was proud of his Irish heritage and Catholic faith. He served in the Army and was a member of the Irish American Club; Ancient Order of Hibernians. He was an avid Notre Dame and Redskins fan.
He is survived by four children, Thomas J. Fahey and wife Brenda of Bel Air, MD, Mary Lou Norris of Westminster, MD, Teresa Fletcher and husband Dale of Westminster, MD, and Anthony Fahey and wife Rosanna of Riverview, FL. Also survived by grandchildren Chris and wife Katie, Kelly, Sean, Ben, Charlie, Jack and Claire, a cousin Mary Fahy and three nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 1 p.m. at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster, MD, with Father Mark Bialek officiating. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends at the church from 12 to 1 p.m.
