Robert E Dougherty, Sr.

Robert E. Dougherty, Sr., 96, of Westminster, died Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at the Dove House.  Born June 22, 1921 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Marie E. Leipold and James C. Dougherty.  He was the husband of the late Flossy A. (Blumenuauer) Dougherty.

Before retiring he worked for C & P Telephone Co.  He served in the Army Air Force as a pilot.

He is survived by sons Robert E. Dougherty, Jr. and wife Diane of Fairfield, PA and Michael Dougherty and wife Janice of Westminster.  Also survived by 8 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by a daughter Linda Lee Blades. 

Private burial services will be held at Meadow Branch Cemetery.
