Frances Laura Poole, 93, of Eldersburg, died Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Lorien in Taneytown. Born April 11, 1919 in Woodlawn, she was the daughter of the late Agnes Glick and Benjamin Meekins. She was the wife of the late Fred E. Levering and James A. Poole.
She was a homemaker and member of Salem United Methodist Church in Hebbville.
Survived by son and daughter-in-law Robert G. and Janet Levering of Taneytown, daughter and son-in-law Shirley J. and John Piazza of Westminster, step-daughters Doris J. Hartman and husband Dwight of Randallstown, Grace Schissler and husband Paul of Eldersburg, sisters Margaret Duvall of Littlestown, Pa., Katherine Choyce of Westminster, a brother John Meekins of Manchester, 6 grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 24 step-great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter-in-law Dorothy Levering and 9 siblings.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Park in Sykesville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, VA 23060-9979.

Frances and her husband James were our neighbors in Winfred Manor, Eldersburg for about 7+ years. They are missed, such good people, it was a pleasure to know them. We know their family feel the loss. Roy and Dot

Dear Bob, Shirley, Doris and Grace and all of Fran's family.
